Jordan, Savea back in for All Blacks' clash with Boks

The All Blacks have regained a number of top-line stars for their highly-anticipated Test clash with the Springboks in Johannesburg on Saturday.

Captain Ardie Savea has been called up after being rested for the opening games of the Greatest Rivalry Tour, while Will Jordan, Cam Roigard, and Damian McKenzie are also key inclusions for Dave Rennie's team.

Despite featuring in the build-up to the Tests, Beauden Barrett did not make the All Blacks' matchday 23. Following previous concerns over an ankle injury sustained in last Tuesday's against the Sharks, McKenzie will start at fullback.

Rennie sprung a surprise on the wing, with Josh Moorby -- who has only two caps, both earned in this year's Nations Championship, and can also play at fullback -- starting alongside Jordan.

Despite the absence of brothers Beauden and Scott, Jordie Barrett starts for the All Blacks at centre, alongside Quinn Tupaea.

Roigard is Love's starting halfback partner, with Savea at eighthman and making up the back row alongside Luke Jacobson and Tupou Vaa'i.

Fabian Holland and Josh Lord start at lock, while Rennie's front row features Ethan de Groot, Codie Taylor and Tyrel Lomax.

"After all the build up and anticipation, our whole touring squad is excited to get this first Test underway," Rennie said.

"We have selected a balanced mix of big match, experienced players and younger players who have earned the right to play in this first Test.

"The first three franchise games have exposed our newer players to the way South African teams play and have been fantastic in helping us build combinations and develop the game we want to play.

"We know the Test series will be a huge step up. We're well aware of what the Springboks will bring to the contest and the pressure that will come to bear. They are number one in the world, playing at their spiritual home in front of their passionate fans, so we will have to be at our very best on Saturday."
