ESPN Fantasy Projection: Thompson is the best wing defender on the Pistons, and in that role he generates about two steals and a block per game. He also has points-rebounds double-double upside in any given night, and last season raised his career-best mark to over three assists per game. His weakness is his inability to knock down 3-pointers, and if he were to add the spot-up baseline 3-pointer to his repertoire it would add another dimension to his game and his fantasy value. As it stands, he's a fringe top-100 fantasy option.
