Arteta: Dowman is balancing school and football (1:26)

Max Dowman has added three Guinness World Records to his growing list of achievements despite not turning 17 until this coming December.

The Arsenal winger enjoyed a breakout season in 2025-26, making 13 senior appearances and scoring a memorable clincher in the Premier League against Everton.

That goal -- in which Dowman ran from his own half, beat two players and tapped into an empty net with Jordan Pickford having come up for a corner -- came with the youngster aged just 16 years and 73 days old, officially making him the youngest goalscorer in Premier League history.

Dowman had already broken another world record prior to that. At the age of 15 years and 308 days, he was introduced as a substitute in Arsenal's 3-0 win at Slavia Prague and became the youngest player ever to make a Champions League appearance.

In fact, no 15-year-old other than him has ever played in the competition.

There was more glory, and one more world record, to come. With Arsenal having won their first Premier League title since 2004, Dowman collected his winner's medal when he was 16 years and 144 days old -- the youngest ever to do so.

Phil Foden was the previous holder of the award, as he was part of Manchester City's 100-point team when he was just 17 years old.

Dowman narrowly missed out on a fourth world record last season having made his debut -- and won a penalty -- against Leeds United at 15 years and 235 days old, just under two months older than teammate Ethan Nwaneri was when he made his debut against Brentford in 2022.

The winger has carried his good form into this season, having scored twice in Arsenal's 4-2 Carabao Cup win over Ipswich in September.
