Chelsea defender Lucy Bronze said she was proud of her side's performance after they held record eight-time Women's Champions League winners OL Lyonnes to a 0-0 draw in France on Wednesday.
It was only the second time that Lyonnes had failed to score in 16 home UWCL Group/League Phase games, following a 0-0 draw with Juventus in December 2022.
And Bronze, who picked up the player of the match award, was was particularly happy with the effort of her team just three days after beating London rivals Arsenal in the Women's Super League.
"As a team, we worked our socks off," she told Disney+. "I'm proud of every single one of us, especially considering we played a really tough game three days ago.
"We then had to fly to Lyon after that, so to put in a shift like today, I'm really happy with what we've done."
Lyonnes thought they had a winner when Salma Paralluelo found the net in the 72nd minute, but her effort was ruled out for offside.
Lauren James and Ada Hegerberg both missed glorious chances late in the game, which meant the sides had to settle for a share of the spoils.
Chelsea were twice denied a penalty through VAR after Sjoeke Nüsken and James were brought down inside the area, while the latter aimed straight at Mala Grohs with a brilliant chance to win the match at the death.
Hegerberg saw a header denied by a Hannah Hampton save for the hosts, but Bronze said a draw was a good result.
"I think we dominated possession of the ball, especially in the first half, we played out of their press well, but I think they had some good counter-attacking moments," she added.
"I think they were on top at the end of the game, but that's what happens when two top teams play against each other -- the momentum swings.
"Both teams had a chance to steal a goal, steal a win. I feel like a draw at this stage of the season for both teams is probably not the worst thing."
Chelsea have four points after their first two UWCL games, following an opening win over Austria Vienna. Sonia Bompastor's team will be back in action with a trip to face West Ham in the WSL on Sunday.
