Heimir Hallgrimsson's side suffered a 1-0 loss to Kosovo in their first match, before a 3-0 triumph over Israel in their second clash.
Conversely, Austria have gone two from two to sit top of the group, having beaten both Israel and Kosovo 3-1 to take control of League B, Group 3.

Ireland are without captain Nathan Collins for the Nations League window due to injury as Dara O'Shea takes on the responsibility of wearing the armband in his absence. Jamie McGrath and Harvey Vale also withdrew from the squad due to injury through club duty, with Killian Phillips called up as a result.
Gavin Bazunu withdrew ahead of the first game against Israel, however, Heimir Hallgrímsson said the plan is for the goalkeeper to rejoin the squad for the Austria fixture. Finn Azaz is also a doubt after Hallgrímsson said he was not fit enough to play against Israel, although no new injuries have been reported.

Austria have a number of injury concerns ahead of their trip to the Republic of Ireland. David Alaba and Christoph Baumgartner are unavailable, while Sascha Horvath is a doubt after suffering a thigh problem in training.
