News: 6 days agoSarr will be a partial participant when training camp begins as he continues his recovery from surgery to repair a fractured right foot, Josh Robbins of The Athletic reports.

Spin: General manager Will Dawkins said Thursday that Sarr is expected to be ready for the start of the regular season, so the limited workload to begin camp appears precautionary. Sarr underwent surgery in mid-June, and his progress during the preseason will be worth monitoring, but there currently doesn't appear to be significant concern about his availability for Opening Night.

ESPN Fantasy Projection: Sarr was the No. 2 overall pick in the 2024 NBA draft, and he has quietly been developing into a starting caliber center worthy of such lofty draft heritage. In roughly the same 27 minutes he averaged as a rookie, Sarr upped almost all of his fantasy stats as a sophomore. He is a strong shot-blocker and defender that appears to have 20-10 point-rebound upside in the near future. His ceiling may be capped this season with the additions Anthony Davis and Deandre Ayton, but if he gets starter minutes Sarr has top-50 fantasy potential, particularly in category leagues.
