News: 2 days agoMurray is healthy entering training camp, Kings general manager Scott Perry said Monday, Frankie Cartoscelli of KHTK Sactown Sports 1140 reports.
Spin: Murray was limited to 23 regular-season appearances in 2025-26 while battling several injuries, most notably issues with his left ankle. He underwent an arthroscopic procedure in May to remove loose bodies from the ankle, but his healthy status entering camp indicates the issue shouldn't limit him as Sacramento begins preparations for the regular season.
ESPN Fantasy Projection: Murray enters the season as Sacramento’s likely starting power forward after an injury-plagued fourth season. He averaged 14.0 PPG, 5.7 RPG and 1.6 BPG last season, but shot a career-low 27.7% from three. His defensive production gives him fantasy value even when the shot isn’t falling, while a return to his earlier shooting form would raise his ceiling considerably. Murray still has competition for minutes in Sacramento’s frontcourt, but his two-way role should keep him involved. He’s worth a late-round flier in fantasy drafts.
