Spin: Sabonis isn't an unrestricted free agent until the 2028-29 campaign, so the rebuilding Kings may not pull the trigger on a potential deal until the star big man builds his stock back up. He averaged 15.8 points, 11.4 rebounds and 4.1 assists per game last year, all his lowest marks since 2018-19, before undergoing season-ending knee surgery in February.
ESPN Fantasy Projection: Sabonis' season was cut short by a knee injury that limited him to only 19 games, by far the fewest in a campaign in his career. In his three previous full seasons with the Kings, Sabonis had averaged a rounded 19 points, 13 rebounds and 7 assists in 77 games per year. The Kings have signaled a rebuild, letting veterans like DeMar DeRozan walk, and there are rumors that Sabonis could be on the move as well, but as long as he remains in Sacramento expect Sabonis to bounce back to his typical usage levels this season.
