Former Real Madrid captain Dani Carvajal is on the verge of completing a move to Getafe as a free agent.
Carvajal, 34, has been without a club since his contract with Madrid expired in June.
Getafe president Ángel Torres confirmed Carvajal has passed a medical but the Spanish right-back's signing is subject to LaLiga's approval due to the financial control rules.
Asked about Carvajal's potential arrival, Torres told DAZN: "We're working on it. He has passed a medical and everything. All that is missing is for LaLiga and me to reach an agreement."
Getafe, currently 11th in LaLiga, are based in the region of Madrid.

Carvajal, a youth product of Real Madrid, won 27 trophies, including a joint-record six Champions Leagues, in his 13 seasons at the Bernabeu stadium.
The Spain international struggled with injuries in recent campaigns.
He suffered a cruciate ligament tear in October 2024 and then another serious knee injury a year later, limiting to 23 his appearances for Los Blancos last season.
