Flick: Raphinha is very happy to play as a nine for Barcelona (1:11)

Raphinha will be fit for Barcelona's double header against Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid later this month after tests revealed no major injury to his right thigh on Friday, a source told ESPN.

Raphinha, 29, was taken off at half time of Brazil's 4-2 win over Australia on Tuesday after feeling some discomfort in his thigh.

He was subsequently removed from the Brazil squad for Saturday's game against India and flew back to Barcelona, were he underwent tests on Friday.

A club source told ESPN those tests had confirmed Brazil's initial assessment, that Raphinha "has edema in the thigh rather than an injury."

The news comes as a major relief to Barça after alarm bells were set ringing on Tuesday when Raphinha was taken off.

The forward missed 25 games for club and country last season due to a hamstring problem in the same thigh and there were fears he had suffered a relapse.

Despite the good news, sources say Barça will manage the player's minutes with caution ahead of some massive games in October.

Barça, who have won all eight of their matches this season, return to action after the international break on Oct. 10 against Getafe.

In theory, Raphinha could feature in that game, but coach Hansi Flick will make a decision on his participation in the days before the fixture.

Barça then travel to Galatasaray and Real Betis before a huge week which sees them face PSG in the Champions League on Oct. 20 and Madrid in LaLiga on Oct. 25.

Raphinha has been a revelation for Barça so far this season, shining in a new role as the team's No.9 after the exits of Robert Lewandowski and Ferran Torres.

He has netted 14 times in eight appearances, including back-to-back hat tricks in his last two club games.
