Manchester United fell to a 4-2 defeat to AC Milan in their final preseason match before the start of the Premier League campaign.
Ruben Amorim, appointed Milan boss after being sacked by United at the start of the year, won his first preseason match at the fourth and final attempt before the Serie A campaign begins.
Harry Maguire headed his side in front just two minutes in, before they were pegged back by Samuel Chukwueze's back-post finish.
United went ahead again through Patrick Dorgu in the second half, but Milan rallied with Alphadjo Cissè, Gonçalo Ramos and Ruben Loftus-Cheek all scoring to turn it around. Marcus Rashford appeared for the first time since December 2024 for Michael Carrick's men, having been substituted on just after the hour mark.

United completed their preseason campaign of six matches. A defeat to Wrexham was followed by a 5-0 win at Rosenborg, before beating Atlético Madrid and drawing 1-1 with Champions League winners Paris Saint-Germain and Leeds United in Dublin -- with a penalty shootout settling the latter.
It has also been a busy summer at Old Trafford, with Youri Tielemans, Andrey Santos and Karl Darlow arriving as Carrick reshapes his squad ahead of the new Premier League season.
Marcus Rashford returned to first-team training following his loan spell at Barcelona and featured against his former boss with a promising half-hour cameo.
Amorim got his his first victory in charge after two draws and a defeat from his opening three friendlies -- with draws against Celtic and rivals Inter, before suffering a 3-0 defeat against Chelsea last weekend.
He was dismissed at Old Trafford after 14 months with the Red Devils, in a spell that saw him win 25 out of 63 matches.
