Tottenham goalkeeper Antonín Kinsky has thanked supporters after a "nightmare" performance in the Champions League against Atlético Madrid on Tuesday.
Spurs interim head coach Igor Tudor made the bold call to hand Kinsky, 22, his first start since October for their last-16 first leg at the Metropolitano.
But Kinsky's opportunity to impress turned into a horror show after he slipped to allow Marcos Llorente to score after six minutes before he conceded again in the 14th minute and, 92 seconds later, his scuffed kick allowed Julián Álvarez to walk the ball into the empty net, before he was substituted off after 17 minutes.
In an Instagram story from his personal account on Wednesday evening, Kinsky said: "Thanks for the messages.
"From dream to nightmare to dream again. See you."
The text on the photo was above a television, which showed Kinsky looking despondent at 3-0 down on broadcast footage.
A number of figures in the world of football -- chief among them goalkeepers -- have come out in vocal support of Kinsky since Tuesday, including Joe Hart, who said on TNT Sports that his "heart [was] absolutely broken for him."
Former Atlético and Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea said on X that "No one who hasn't been a goalkeeper can understand how difficult it is to play in this position. Keep your head up and you will go again."

"I've been coaching 15 years and I've never done that," Tudor said in his post-match news conference. "It was necessary to preserve the guy, preserve the team. It was an incredible situation.
"Before the game, it was the right choice to do. It was the right decision for me. After this happened, of course it's easy to say it wasn't the right decision. He's a good goalkeeper. Unfortunately it happened with these mistakes, in a big game. We are fragile, we are weak."
Spurs will take on Atlético in the return leg in north London on March 19.
