São Paulo v Santos
Scruffy goal gives Santos 1-0 win over leaders Sao Paulo
SAO PAULO, Jan 10 (Reuters) - Brazilian league leaders Sao Paulo fell to their second successive league defeat on Sunday after being beaten 1-0 at home by Santos at the Morumbi stadium.Jobson got the winner a minute into the second half when he took advantage of a string of mistakes to poke the ball past the Sao Paulo keeper. The result still leaves Sao Paulo top of the Serie A with 56 points from 29 matches but their form is a worry for coach Fernando Diniz, who has seen his team score just four goals in their last five games.Champions Flamengo missed a chance to cut the seven-point gap at the top when they lost 2-0 at home to Ceara.Flamengo have 49 points, the same as third-placed Atletico Mineiro, who play Bragantino on Monday. Second placed Internacional, who are at home to Goias later on Sunday, are on 50 points.Santos are in eighth with 42 points. (Reporting by Andrew Downie, editing by Pritha Sarkar)
