News: 3 days agoFannin brought in seven of nine targets for 51 yards and two touchdowns in the Browns' 21-18 win over the Panthers on Sunday.

Spin: The second-year tight end led the Browns in receptions, receiving yards and targets on the afternoon, and he capped off Cleveland's upset victory with a 14-yard touchdown grab at the 1:48 mark of the fourth quarter. The score proved to be the difference in the game, and it was preceded by a two-yard scoring reception just before halftime. After a quiet Week 1, Fannin has come alive with a combined 12-125-2 line on 15 targets over the last pair of contests, affording him plenty of momentum heading into a Week 4 divisional home showdown against the Steelers on Thursday night.

ESPN Fantasy Projection: Fannin is a rising star at the tight end position after overcoming the presence of David Njoku and a quarterback merry-go-round to produce a 72-731-6 receiving line (plus 7-13-1 rushing) as a 21-year-old rookie last season. The third-round pick's 108 targets rank eighth all time by a rookie tight end, and he finished no lower than eighth at the position in catches, yards, touchdowns and fantasy points last season. Fannin figures to see some touchdown regression (seven TDs, 3.8 expected, three end zone targets) and Cleveland still has quarterback question marks, but with Njoku gone, Fannin has a path to improve a bit on what was already a healthy 22% target share. He's a solid TE1 target.
