Spin: Williams was far more effective than Blake Corum, who turned six carries and four targets into just 15 scrimmage yards. Williams' season-opening touchdown streak came to a halt at two games, but he has been one of the league's top all-around performers at running back in the early going, averaging 5.6 yards per carry while catching 11 of 12 targets and scoring a touchdown apiece as a rusher and a receiver. The Rams are off to a 1-2 start heading into a Week 4 trip to Philadelphia, so expect Los Angeles to continue leaning heavily on its top backfield option in an effort to avoid losing more ground in the NFC standings.

ESPN Fantasy Projection: Williams continues to produce at a high level as the Rams' lead back. The 2022 fifth-round pick has produced 1,350-plus scrimmage yards in three straight seasons (including a career-high 1,533 in 2025), and he's one of 11 backs in NFL history who have scored 13-plus touchdowns in three of his first four seasons. Williams' carry share actually dropped quite a bit last season, but it was mostly offset by a boost in both rushing and receiving efficiency, and he still averaged a healthy 15.5 fantasy points. Williams doesn't do much as a receiver (he has never cleared 36 catches in a season), but his overall usage and scoring potential in the Rams' elite offense is enough to make the 26-year-old a solid RB2 option.
