News: 3 days agoGibbs carried the ball 20 times for 99 yards and two touchdowns while catching seven of eight targets for 65 yards and a third TD in Sunday's 31-24 win over the Jets.
Spin: That's now six trips to the end zone in three games to begin the season for Gibbs, who ran it in from 17 yards and one yard before hauling in a game-winning 11-yard toss from Jared Goff inside the final two minutes of the fourth quarter. Gibbs has added 463 yards from scrimmage to his ledger as well, more than earning his spot at the top of preseason draft boards. He'll look to keep rolling in a Week 4 road clash against the Panthers.
ESPN Fantasy Projection: Gibbs has finished in the top 10 among running backs in yards per carry, routes, targets, receptions, touchdowns and fantasy points in each of his first three campaigns. In fact, his 38 touchdowns over the past two seasons are four more than any other player. Though Gibbs has finished as a top-three fantasy back in each of the past two years, he has yet to finish a season higher than seventh in touches. That very well could change this season with David Montgomery no longer in the mix. The 24-year-old Gibbs is one of the NFL's top playmakers in one of its best offenses. He's a strong option with the first pick of fantasy drafts.
