News: 2 days agoBrissett completed 38 of 52 passes for 280 yards with two touchdowns and no interceptions and rushed four times for four yards in the Cardinals' 36-30 loss to the 49ers on Sunday.

Spin: Brissett put together one of his signature stat lines, parlaying massive passing volume into a solid yardage figure while remaining free of turnovers. The veteran signal-caller's pass-distribution profile also was on brand, as a whopping 28 of his pass attempts went in the direction of Michael Wilson (17 targets) and Trey McBride (11 targets). Brissett hit Wilson (five yards) and Jeremiyah Love (one yard) for his pair of touchdown passes, marking his first multi-TD tally of the season. Brissett is averaging a typically conservative 5.6 yards per attempt over his first three games, but he's thrown for over 275 yards twice to date heading into a Week 4 road matchup against the Giants next Sunday.

ESPN Fantasy Projection: Brissett is back for his second season in Arizona and is currently positioned as the team's probable Week 1 starter. One of the biggest fantasy surprises of 2025, Brissett reeled off nine consecutive top-12 fantasy outings spanning Weeks 6 to 15. He averaged 18.9 fantasy points across 12 starts, which was a big surprise considering his prior career high was 12.9, and that was way back in 2017. Brissett played solid ball, but he's not a major contributor with his legs (260 yards is his career high for a season). He certainly benefited from the league's pass-heaviest offense, a luxury he's unlikely to have with Mike LaFleur now calling plays. Expect the 33-year-old to regress to fringe QB2 production, and keep in mind that it's possible Arizona will turn to rookie Carson Beck at some point this season.
