Ruben Amorim is already under scrutiny as AC Milan manager having failed to win a game in charge of the Italian side -- and plays former club Manchester United next.
Amorim was hired as Milan's new boss in June, six months after being sacked by United. The Portuguese coach won just 24 of his 63 matches in charge at United and also drew frequent ire from supporters for his news conferences, and his tactical stubbornness.
He is set for a quick reunion with his old side as Milan and United will face off this Saturday, Aug. 15 in Wroclaw, Poland.
Amorim will be looking for his first victory as Milan boss. So far in preseason, Milan have drawn two games -- against Celtic and Serie A rivals Inter -- and lost one, falling 3-0 to Premier League side Chelsea on Saturday.
On Monday, the Italian press were critical of Amorim for his side's performance in that game, with Il Corriere dello Sport featuring a back page spread stating Amorim could be one of the first managers sacked in Serie A this year.
After the loss to Chelsea, Amorim's news conference would have sounded familiar to United fans.
"We knew we would suffer a little, but we want to put our players through this kind of challenge," he said. "They know how to defend as a team, play one-on-one and press high. Against teams like Chelsea, we would never press in this way, but we are here to prepare ourselves to win the first official match of the season and give the players confidence.

"We also had a lot of young players in the squad. We are following the right path to put the team in a position to win the first official match of the season."
It is the final tune-up game for both Milan and United before their seasons begin.
United have won two of four friendlies this year, and play Leeds on Wednesday in Dublin. Michael Carrick's side will be looking to build on finishing third in the league last season, a year on from placing 15th under Amorim.
