STARTING PITCHERS FOR SUNDAY

Pitchers are ranked in order of their Forecaster/Daily Notes projected fantasy points (FPTS), using ESPN's standard scoring system (2 points per win, minus-2 per loss, 3 per inning, 1 per K, minus-1 apiece per hit or walk allowed, minus-2 per earned run allowed).

T: The pitcher's handedness. OPP: Opposing team. RST%: The pitcher's roster percentage in ESPN leagues. W%: The individual starting pitcher's win probability using ESPN projections. IP: Projected innings pitched. H+BB: Projected hits plus walks allowed. ER: Projected earned runs allowed. K: Projected strikeouts.

If a team is planning on using an "opener" to start their game, but will rely on a "bulk pitcher" to follow him on the mound after 1-2 innings, the bulk pitcher is listed and indicated with an asterisk.

Pitchers to stream on Sunday

Ryan Weathers fell one out shy of his third straight quality start in his last outing. It's the time of the season when workload considerations become a factor, and the lefty has already matched his career-high innings total (including work in the majors and minors). The New York Yankees close out a weekend set at Rogers Centre against the Toronto Blue Jays, who are the least productive offense facing left-handers and will be without Vladimir Guerrero Jr., who was placed on the 7-day concussion IL on Saturday.
After allowing just one earned run over his previous 23 frames, Noah Cameron ran into the Los Angeles Dodgers in his last start and was tagged with four runs over 5 2/3 frames. The Dodgers have done that to a lot of pitchers this season. The lefty is in a good spot to rebound when the Kansas City Royals visit the Los Angeles Angels. Cameron faces a lineup with a below-average wOBA against southpaws and the third-highest strikeout rate.
Christian Scott has pitched well since the break, despite unflattering surface stats. His 4.07 ERA should be a run lower according to his xFIP, and his 1.32 WHIP is inflated due to a .385 BABIP. However, his 24.3 K-BB% since the break is 15th best among pitchers logging at least 20 frames in that span. Next up for the New York Mets righty is a home affair versus a Washington Nationals team that sports the seventh-lowest wOBA facing right-handed pitching.

Hitters to stream on Sunday

The Chicago White Sox lead the American League in runs per game despite having only two hitters with an ESPN rostership over 90%; no one else exceeds 35%. They have a chance to pad their run total Sunday when they face Drew Anderson and the Detroit Tigers. The righty is transitioning to the rotation after spending most of the season in the bullpen. He's not fully stretched out, which will allow the White Sox to collect several plate appearances against a shaky bullpen. Sam Antonacci, Colson Montgomery, Andrew Benintendi, Braden Montgomery, Tristan Peters and Chase Meidroth are all in play.
Heading into Saturday's action, Chandler Simpson's line since the break is .407/.408/.451 with 13 steals in 13 attempts. His rostership is up to 43.9% and climbing. If you need steals, Simpson is finally showing off his base-stealing prowess.
