Off the back of their 3-1 Rugby's Greatest Rivalry (RGR) series win over New Zealand, South Africa's Springboks will visit Australia -- their other historic Southern Hemisphere rivals -- in Perth on Sunday.
The Wallabies are undefeated in their four games under Les Kiss, having beaten Japan twice and Argentina once before drawing with Los Pumas in their last game.
A win over the world champions, albeit a significantly changed team from the one that beat the All Blacks 43-28 in Baltimore, would be a major statement.
The Springboks' strength in depth has famously earned them success over the last eight years, so a win for the Wallabies over any South Africa side under Rassie Erasmus would be a major feat.
The Wallabies have often proved tricky to beat for even the strongest Springbok sides - even beating them in South Africa during last year's Rugby Championship, which Erasmus' charges eventually won.
The Springboks had to dig deep to beat Argentina in Buenos Aires prior to the home RGR series, so an away win in Perth would certainly count for something.
