It has been a decent start to India's Asian Games 2026 campaign with the opening two days fetching six medals. Day 3 action will see opportunities for Indian athletes to medal in shooting, cricket, karate and wushu.
Elavenil Valarivan, who has already won two silver medals in shooting, will look to add more to her tally as she pairs up Parth Mane in 10m Air Rifle Mixed Team qualification and later in the finals.
There's a very good chance India will win their first gold medal at the Games with the women's cricket team being the favourites against Sri Lanka in the final.
In badminton, India will have to face Japan in both men's and women's team quarterfinals.
