NWSL side Seattle Reign announced the signing of Ivory Coast forward Ami Diallo, 25, on Tuesday on a contract set to run through the 2028 season, from ASEC Mimosas for an undisclosed fee.
Diallo featured for the Lady Elephants at the Women's Africa Cup of Nations -- where they topped Group B to reach the quarter-finals, but were beaten by Algeria, and subsequently by Ghana in their World Cup qualification playoff.
Diallo had brief appearances off the bench in those games this month after previously scoring for ASEC in their 2-1 CAF Women's Champions League final defeat to Morocco's AS FAR last November.
She told the club's website: "I'm very excited to join Seattle Reign FC and begin this next chapter of my career in the NWSL.
"I'm looking forward to joining my new teammates, competing in a new league and giving everything I have for this club. I can't wait to get to Seattle and meet the fans."
Reign general manager Lesle Gallimore said: "Ami is a dynamic attacking player who has already shown her ability to produce at a high level, and we believe she has tremendous potential to continue growing in our environment.
"She brings quality, athleticism and a competitive mentality to our group, and her experience competing on the international stage will serve her well as she makes the transition to the NWSL.
"We're excited to welcome Ami to Seattle and help her take the next step in her career."
The club expects 2025 CAF Women's Interclub Player of the Year finalist Diallo to arrive within weeks, pending the arrival of her P-1 Visa.
The Lady Elephants' WAFCON squad also featured Rosemonde Kouassi, who plays for NWSL favourites Washington Spirit.
