Barkley: 'One of the greatest runs in playoff history' if Knicks win out (0:40)

After winning the first two games of the NBA Finals on the road, the New York Knicks have taken complete control as championship favorites, showing overwhelming -500 odds to win the title after coming into the series as +155 underdogs. The San Antonio Spurs, meanwhile, have lengthened all the way out to +380 after entering the Finals as -185 favorites.

Both teams were well-supported in the championship futures markets this season, with Caesars Sportsbook telling ESPN's David Purdum that each is a liability in the future book. The Spurs opened the 2025-26 season as 65-1 underdogs to win the title, which would make them the largest preseason underdogs to win the NBA Finals in at least 40 seasons if they were to follow through, according to data from SportsOddsHistory.com.

Jalen Brunson is still the favorite to win Finals MVP at +100, but Karl-Anthony Towns has truly entered the conversation at +185 after a phenomenal Game 2. Victor Wembanyama, the odds-on favorite coming into the series, is now +390, with no other player shorter than 150-1.

The Knicks are 2.5-point favorites for Monday's Game 3 at Madison Square Garden, with the total set at 216.5.
