The Oklahoma City Thunder are -170 to win the NBA Finals after sweeping the Los Angeles Lakers in a close Game 4 on Monday night. The Thunder are -275 to win the Western Conference as they await the winner of the semifinal series between the Minnesota Timberwolves and San Antonio Spurs.
San Antonio took a 3-2 series lead on Tuesday and has seen its championship odds shorten to +340, while Minnesota lengthened from 70-1 to 150-1 following the lopsided 126-97 defeat.
Meanwhile, with their dominating sweep of the Philadelphia 76ers in the second round of the playoffs Sunday, the New York Knicks have firmly entered the title contenders' conversation, shortening to +550 to win the NBA Finals and an odds-on -190 to win the Eastern Conference.
New York awaits the winner of the Cleveland Cavaliers-Detroit Pistons series, which is knotted at 2-2 after Cleveland's Game 4 win Monday. The Pistons remain the favorites to win the series at -150 odds. Detroit has lengthened to 30-1 on the championship odds board, and Cleveland is 45-1, good for fourth and fifth place, respectively.
