Each Rajasthan Royals (RR) game seems to bring with it a fresh stat highlights package for Vaibhav Sooryavanshi. Here's the latest, after RR's convincing win over Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) to make it four in four in IPL 2026.
7 - Instances of RCB losing while defending a 200-plus target in the IPL. It's the joint-highest alongside Punjab Kings (PBKS).
202 for 4 - RR's total in the chase is only their second 200-plus total against RCB in the IPL after the 217 for 4 in Bengaluru in 2018.
97 for 1 - RR's total in the powerplay on Friday is their highest in the IPL. Their previous best was 89 for 1 against PBKS in 2025.
3 - Fifties by Sooryavanshi in under 18 balls in the IPL, the most by any batter. Six other batters have two fifties apiece in under 18 balls.
In all, Sooryavanshi has four T20 fifties in under 18 balls. Abhishek Sharma (five) has more, while Chris Gayle and Kieron Pollard also have four each (where ESPNcricinfo has data).
Friday was the second instance of Sooryavanshi scoring a 15-ball fifty in the IPL. Jake Fraser-McGurk is the other batter with that record, both scored in the 2024 season.
17.51 - Run rate of Sooryavanshi-Dhruv Jurel partnership, worth 108 runs in just 6.1 overs. It is the second-fastest century stand in terms of run rate in the IPL, behind Abhishek and Travis Head's 131 in 6.2 overs against Delhi Capitals (DC) in 2024, scored at 20.68.
3 - Instances of Sooryavanshi scoring 50-plus runs at a strike rate of over 300 in T20s. Only one man has as many or more such scores: Pollard (four).
Two of Sooryavanshi's 50-plus scores while striking at 300-plus have come in the IPL. Fraser-McGurk is the only other player with that record.
107 - Runs RCB added after the fall of their sixth wicket, the second-highest by any team in the IPL. The highest is 115 by Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) against RR in 2013, when they finished with 144 for 9 from 29 for 6.
RCB had three 30-plus partnerships after the fall of their sixth wicket, making it only the second such instance in men's T20 cricket.
