Australia win by nine wickets with more than 10 overs to spare. Can't pick too many holes in that from them, and it's another massive net run-rate boost. Nice innings from Georgia Voll to get her tournament up and running. Australia have a few injury concerns but they are well on their way in the competition. Will bring you the presentation shortly.
Ellyse Perry is player of the match. "Thought we started really well with the ball, Kim up front to take those early wickets, it felt a little seam-friendly today. A great all-round job for the group and nice to contribute a bit. Any opportunity to contribute I really enjoy. Been chipping away at the bowling, love doing it."
Nigar Sultana "We lost many wickets in the first 10 overs and it was pretty difficult. We are better than this, we know that...we know we have a very good bowling side. [On selection] We wanted to see two experienced bowlers and hoping we can put some runs on the board, but in T20 format you have to get runs on the board otherwise it's difficult. [Finding power] We have been looking for a few players like power hitters...it's pretty difficult to find batters like that."
Sophie Molineux "It sort of did what we were expecting. Kimmy up front was beautiful and everyone that came on after that did their role. All in all, a good day. It was probably fraction fuller, pitch was probably a little sticky at the start, so we wanted to get them out with a vertical bat and there was some swing as well. [Perry]. She's warmed up every game since 2023 ... conditions like this really suit her, can get a little bit out of the wicket. We are blessed with options."
I'll wrap things up there for this match. Don't go too far, though, as India play Netherlands next. For now, though, from Gnasher, it's goodbye and thanks for joining us.
Shrey: "Barring some horror show innings for Australia, this enormous win all but confirms their qualification for the semis right?" Well on their way, yep
