11.50pm So, after 73 gruelling games, we have our two finalists. RCB had gotten there by winning Q1, but now, after taking a slightly longer route, Gujarat Titans have joined them. They have made the playoffs four out of five seasons since their inception, and are now going to play their third final as they eye a second title. So many contests and storylines in that game now, and Sunday should prove to be a great game of cricket. Will RCB defend their title, or will Gill's boys dethrone them? Join us on Sunday for yet another IPL final to find out. For tonight, it's Abhimanyu signing off on behalf of Ekanth, Thilak and Sudeep. Goodbye and goodnight.

V. Kalyani : "Human, superman, Shubman!"

11.45pm Time for the presentation ceremony

Shubman Gill is the Player of the Match. Here's what he has to say: "[On the toss] There was some confusion there but happy to get the win. [On his partnership with Sai Sudharsan] Honestly, I think wer complement each other and each other's game very well. When we are batting out there our communication is very good. One of us has to take down one of the bowlers and we are very good in deciding which bowler to take on. [On his reaction to SaiSu's dismissal] I don't think anyone has seen that happen in two games. I saw some video on social media about taping his hands, and I think I'll have to do that (chuckles). [On his knock] I was in the kind of zone where I was just looking at the gaps and the bowler and see my zone and try to hit it there. That's what happens when you're batting well, you see the gaps and middle it. At one point we thought we could restrict them to 180-190 but they made 210 [215] so we just wanted to get a good start. I wanted to finish it off but got out. [On using his bowler] Yeah, I feel for Sai Kishore, he didn't get to bowl a single over but that's what happens when you have six-seven bowling option. Now it's just about going to the final and putting on another performance. [On the final] Feeling is really good. But quick turnaround so tomorrow we'll just rest and recover and then go there and assess conditions. I think if you don't play the occasion it brings the best out of us and that's what we spoke about. Let's take the occasion out and play some good cricket. Whether we win or lose, we should play good cricket."

Akhilesh: "Round 4 of Kohli vs Rabada incoming.... woooo I'm excited!!!!!!!!"

Alex: "Top 2 on the points table are in the final. Fair enough."

B Sai Sudharsan: "[On keeping a hold of the bat] I am going to try some grip changes and try, but I don't have much of an answer. Seriously, last game it bounced and hit the stumps, but this game I wanted to hit it straightaway (laughs). [On the pitch and their plans] I think the plan and ideas were very clear. We were going after every ball and it happened very well in the powerplay. Honestly we didn't give energy to [the target] and just wanted to taking on the powerplay. We were very clear on our plans and it helped us reach there. [On batting with Gill] I think we understand conditions very well, and understand what to do in this kind of game, and to be very honest, he played unbelievable today. [On his batting this year] I think it has to evolve every year. Had a great few years with GT and have kept improving, and this year also there were many points on which I have to improve so will work on that and come back next year. [On getting to the final] Entire dugout is very happy but we just have to ground ourselves and play it like just another game."

Riyan Parag: "[On their total] I think it was a par score. I feel 215 was defendable but I felt that after the heavy roller the wicket got a little better. I feel in the first innings spinners got a bit more grip and shorter slower balls were sticking more. I think 230-240 would have been a score that would have made the chase very challenging. 215, with the batting they had, we knew we had to get their openers early but we didn't and it was going to be a tough road after that. [On their season] A whole lot of positives but if I had to sum it up in a sentence or a few lines, we were not supposed to qualify. A lot of inexperience and a lot of new transitions and combinations we tried and tested, but a lot of character the boys showed and it's a great start for a long journey ahead. [On Sooryavanshi] vaibhav has been, I can't really put it in words, there is one way where you just go and slog and get runs but he's not blind slogging. The kind of innings today you can't get with blind slogging. He calculates, he assesses conditions. He does everything and I still can't figure out how. I just hope he keeps doing the same for the country and bringing the country laurels and keeps playing for us and gets us that second championship."

11.25pm This match, like much of this season, has been about an audacious 15-year-old who has captured the imagination of the cricketing fandom across the world, but today Vaibhav Sooryavanshi's dream season and Rajasthan Royals' campaign come to a hearbreaking end courtesy Shubman Gill's majestic century, yet another reminder from him as to why he is regarded as one of the best batters going around right now, and his opening partner B Sai Sudharsan. GT's openers have been the backbone of their success with the bat, and in a crunch tie, the two again stood tall and how. They made the chase look easy, and will now go to the final filled with confidence. Especially since it will be at home in Ahmedabad, against an RCB side they'll want revenge against, having lost to them in Qualifier 1.

Brijesh Sharma to Tewatia, SIX, And there it is! Rahul Tewatia slams this slot ball down the ground to complete Gujarat Titans' highest successful chase, and sends them into their third IPL final! Shubman Gill and Sai Sudharsan set it up with a stunning partnership, that was ended in bizarre fashion, but there are no slip-ups for GT, and they will now take on RCB in the final at their home in Ahmedabad
