Two big boxes ticked for LSG, and one for SRH with their middle order firing. That's the first game of the day done. Thanks for joining us. Do catch RCB vs CSK live, coverage is under way.

Mohammed Shami, POTM I'm happy. We lost our lost game, winning this game was key to build momentum. If you want to play, it's important to be in touch with the game. If you're fit only then can you work on your skills. That's why I kept in touch with the game and played all the domestic games. Without skill or experience, nothing happens. But you have to adapt. I was here last year and used a lot of slower ones. Opponents use it a lot, I thought why not us too.

Rishabh Pant, LSG captain It's a big plus, staying till the end and finishing the game. With bowlers, you have to appreciate them because they set up games. Shami, Avesh, Rathi all contributed. Siddharth too. We feel there's never a perfect match, have to critical as a management, but appreciate the effort and focus on execution. What ends well is all well, for me personally, I know I'm preparing well. I want to let my bat do the talking. My colleagues and management see how hard I work, that's what matters.

Aiden Markram Nice to be back up top. Not too fussed about my position, glad to get us to a semi-decent start. When we batted against the new ball, it was the best time to bat. Wicket got better gradually. Familiarity with Marsh is great, spent the last season together. Discuss what the bowlers might throw at us and plan at that. If I didn't bowl it means we bowled well.

Ishan Kishan, SRH captain It was a good game, total not enough. Bowlers bowled to the plan, credit to the fielders too but one or two boundaries can take the match here and there. Losing four wickets early puts pressure on other batters, but credit to Klaasy and Nitish for taking us past 150. Rishabh played well when they were losing wickets. Defending that total was tough, taking it to the last over gives us positive notes. Harsh bowled exceptionally well, hope he'll continue.

7:13pm A swirling game stabilised by LSG's captain. A different game was shaping up when SRH were 26 for 4. After their recovery, they lost wickets at the death and there was the difference between the two teams. Markram got LSG off to a good start; LSG's middle order is still a concern but Pant making up after a slow start and taking them home would be heartening. For SRH, Dubey's bowling is the biggest positive. Shivang and Eshan were good too. But Unadkat got some tap and couldn't finish off the game.

Unadkat to Pant, FOUR, Third time's the charm and Pant wins it for LSG! Gentle tap of the glove to the partner. Wide, full ball, Pant gets on one knee and with a mostly horizontal bat, slaps it over mid-off

Unadkat to Pant, no run, Driven... straight to mid-off. Mukul takes off and is sent back early. Low full toss, Pant hitting it along the ground

Unadkat to Pant, no run, Wide yorker is chomped to cover, fielder's well in

Just one to get now

Unadkat to Pant, FOUR, Shot of the match and that's the game sealed! Pant's upper-body leant to the leg side, contorted himself again and flat-batted a shortish ball, from shoulder-height mind you, and flat-batted it over mid-off tennis style

Unadkat to Pant, FOUR, It is yorker first ball... but is drilled to the straight boundary! Long-on chased to the right, no long-off. Beats the dive. Very good ball, at the stumps but Pant somehow got underneath and drove it through

Not sure how but SRH are still in the game. LSG have their best batter in the middle. Will Pant farm strike? Unadkat hasn't had the best of days. Will he go yorkers?

END OF OVER:
19 | 4 Runs | LSG: 148/5 (9 runs required from 6 balls, RR: 7.78, RRR: 9.00)

  • Mukul Choudhary2 (5b)
  • Rishabh Pant56 (45b)
  • Harshal Patel3-0-16-0
  • Harsh Dubey4-0-18-2

Amiya: "Harshal not completing his quota might be the reason SRH loose this game ."

Patel to Choudhary, no run, Given lbw, LSG review. Will be a dot either way. Was a highish full toss that hit the outer-half of the back thigh. Mukul swung across the line and missed... and got hit outside the line of the stumps, Hawk-Eye shows
