Scorer: Chandan Duorah | Commentator: Ekanth and Himanshu

Some good quotes in the presentation, particularly Gaikwad talking about target-setting in the Impact Player era. Lends a bit of strategy into a one-sided game. Hope you had fun following it here, easier so for the RR fans, but it's a long season to go. Do catch us again here tomorrow. Deiva's report is in, there'll be analysis too. Do check all that out. For now, it's goodbye from me, Ekanth, my co-commentator Himanshu, and our scorers, Chandan and Ranjith.

Srihari : "For a batting dominated league such as the IPL, the players of the match so far this year have all been bowlers."

Nandre Burger, POTM Feels great to contribute to a win and happy to get us off to a good start. Great toss to win, watching the games big scores you plan and prepare for that. To do this was nice. Plan to Sanju - plan to all batters was to get them out. One to Sanju saw some natural variation that's all I can say. Dressing room is similar to the one last year, good to see smiles and good energy. Positive start, hope to keep the energy high.

Riyan Parag, RR captain Got lucky with the toss. It was a red-soil wicket with rain. Bowlers executed it well. Lot of prep has gone into captaincy, the goal is to win the trophy. Lot of time to planning, strategising. We want to play smart cricket and adapt, we did that today. All bowlers did well, quicks were rapid. Guwahati suited Jaddu bhai. I tell Vaibhav you play 14 games, what goes on in the game and media shouldn't bother you. I tell the coaches to let him play as long. We were in awe watching him in the nets. This is the batting order, Dhruv at 3, Hettie at 5, we need left-right combo. Hope to win a few more with the line-up.

Vaibhav Sooryavanshi Cake cutting was to happen but I slept early as they smear cake all over the face. Plan was to go big in the powerplay. Wicket was sticky early on but then it eased up. I think of defending but the plan was to decide the game in the powerplay as we'd restricted them to a low score. The coaches have told me that they back me and they're behind me. Prep went well, we were here early, they told me to read the decision and back my game. After every ball, Jaiswal doesn't tell me to take a single. He tells me that the ball's going off the bat nicely and to keep going.

Ruturaj Gaikwad, CSK captain Felt the conditions at the start were tough, especially against Jofra. It was tough against medium pacers, spinners were getting assistance as well. Maybe we could've batted deeper but you never know a good score these days so had to keep going. You just put it behind and move on. Next game in three days. Lots of youngsters in the group, nervy start but good to get a game behind. I'm not a firm believer of going all out all the way, but you don't know the par score with the impact player, 150-170 is chased down easily.

Amit: "CSK has always prided themselves in maintaining a high run rate even when they lost many games in the past. This mauling will hurt them big. Hopefully Brevis and more importantly Dhoni can come back in quick."

10:37pm Biggest win for RR by margin of balls left. A win set up by the bowlers. Then the much-awaited show from the duo of Sooryavanshi and Jaiswal took over. There were a lot of shots attempted, a few chances created and put down by CSK. But that aside, the shot-making was remarkable. Sooryavanshi's 15-ball fifty had the classics, the stand-tall sixes, the towering muscling ones too.

Short to Jaiswal, 1 run, Royals win with nearly eight overs to spare. They get there with a gentle tuck off the pads to midwicket. Sedate celebrations

Short to close out

Henry to Parag, no run, Nails the middle-stump yorker. Parag was on middle and off, didn't pre-meditate and was able to jam it right in front

Henry to Parag, 1 wide, That looked wide on first view. Not given, RR review. 133ks bouncer on fifth stump. Parag was on the hop as he tried to upper-cut it fine. Ball went over the bat but that was after it passed him. Head height is 1.83 metres and the ball is 1.89 metres. Decision reversed

Henry to Parag, 1 run, Looks like Steve Smith as he slants himself, closes his stance and punches the full ball to long-on
