11:27pm That will be all from us for tonight. We hope you enjoyed our coverage and we will be back with more IPL action tomorrow. Until then, this me (Shashwat) signing off on behalf of our scorers, Ranjith and Thilak, and everyone else here at ESPNcricinfo. Goodbye and goodnight, folks!

Jason Holder, Player of the Match: Happy things how went for me personally. Felt our energy was good from the start. After the first couple of overs, everyone was a little edgy but credit to KG (for turning it around). (On his catch to dismiss Patidar) I did see him (Rabada), was just hoping to not run into him. He was in my peripheral but he was far enough for me to put in an attempt (to catch it). (On ball following him) I welcome it as it comes. Just happy to hold on to the chances. Happy to contribute and to get over the line. (On his batting role) The way this franchise approaches, you have to stay sharp. More or less about coming in when needed, and delivering.

Shubman Gill, GT captain: (On the win) Feels very satisfying. On a wicket like this, restricting them to under 160 was a tremendous job by the bowlers. Our fielding was one of the things
in phases, we have not fielded well. Energy in the field was very nice, and how we came back together (after the second over) was pleasing. (On his batting) I was just feeling I was in the zone. On the first ball, got a bit lucky but on the second ball, got into my zone. Felt it is my day and wanted to take the bowlers on. (On Tewatia) He is a very important player, happy he finished the game. We lost couple more wickets than we would have liked. He got some nice runs and everyone got a hit in the middle.

Rajat Patidar, RCB captain: The score was not good enough on this track but the way we bowled and stretched it, it was a positive sign. (On the pitch) There was a good cover of grass and it helped the fast bowlers. The way Shubman played, he played beautifully and put pressure on us. We gave a lot of wickets in the middle and that kept us in the backseat. He (Bhuvneshwar) is an experienced bowler and the way he bowled in the first half was incredible. It is a long way (to go) and we will take it one game at a time. We are not looking at the table. Our aim is to play good cricket.

Jos Buttler: (On the pitch) Really good batting surface. Bowlers deserve a lot of credit and the biggest difference was we took our catches. Siraj and Rabada have been great for us. Shubman talked about putting them (RCB pacers) off their lengths and credit to him for doing that. Initially, they are such good bowlers, so trying to change their lengths. When I got dismissed, got greedy a little bit. There was a big gap (at mid wicket) and nice bowling by Bhuvi. (On Gill's powerplay onslaught) That gave a lot of confidence and broke the back of the chase early. Massive two points. We are in that situation where we need to hold on to those above us, and really big win today.

11:04pm Well, it got nervy for a bit. But the Titans did enough in the end to get the job done. Tewatia registered his highest score since the beginning of the 2025 season, and that ensured there were no further hiccups. Prior to that, Gill had bossed the powerplay and set the stage. Buttler took on the leg-spin of Suyash and all of that meant that this undercooked middle order did not have a climbing required run-rate to worry about.

RCB gave it a proper rattle with the ball. They gambled by bowling both of their premier fast bowlers out early, and Bhuvneshwar repaid that faith with a three-wicket haul. Shepherd also got some much needed bowling miles under his best. Their usage (or lack thereof) of Krunal was perplexing but this was not a game they lost in the second innings.

Suyash Sharma to Rashid Khan, FOUR, crashed over cover, and Rashid seals the deal for the Titans! A fitting blow to end what was largely a very convincing display. Suyash tries to pull the length back outside off. Rashid, having advanced, reaches out and slams it away. Lots of handshakes in the GT camp - they know they have turned up tonight, and they have outwitted the defending champions rather comfortably in the end!

Shepherd to Tewatia, 1 wide, banged in short outside off. Tewatia sways out of the way and the wide is called on height. RCB deliberate, and Patidar reviews. Well, they have a review left. Why not chance your luck. Top of the batter's head is measured at 1.75m, and the ball passes at 1.79m. RCB out of reviews!

Suyash Sharma to Holder, OUT, dragged to deep mid wicket, and is there life in this game still?! Suyash dangles the carrot on a full length on middle. Holder picks the googly and slogs at it. Reaches out a little too much in front, though, and drags it straight down Padikkal's throat. GT six down now!

Final time-out of the game. GT inching towards the finish line. Only 19 more needed. Time running out for RCB to instigate another collapse. Suyash to get us underway after the time-out. Still no Krunal, rather bafflingly

Percy: "It's gully cricket rule... Krunal not given bowling due to his irresponsible batting earlier in the innings" -- By that logic and metric, Shepherd should not have even come close to the bowling crease. Think the presence of a left-hander has prompted Patidar to not bowl Krunal, despite there being enough evidence of Krunal not struggling against LHBs
