11:53pm That will be all from us for tonight. We hope you enjoyed our coverage, and would love your company tomorrow as well, with the Lucknow Super Giants taking on the Royal Challengers Bengaluru. Until then, from all of us here at ESPNcricinfo, it is goodbye!

Noor Ahmad, Player of the Match: Really happy to contribute to my team. Was humid, so was trying to keep my fingers dry - that helped me a lot to hit the right areas. Really happy with the pitch. Ball was not coming onto the bat. (On this performance) It gives a lot of confidence. Will keep putting a lot of effort to keep contributing to my team. Changing pace is great everywhere, on every wicket. Tonight, above 90(kph) was good.

Ruturaj Gaikwad, CSK captain: Feeling good. Defended a good score. Felt it was a par score, given wicket changed drastically after the first 7-8 overs. It started spinning and gripping. We were looking for 200-210 initially but then thought anything above 180 would be a good score. (On the bowling) It was good. Slowly, it is coming together. Everyone knows what their role is. What lengths to bowl. Adjusting and adapting really well. We wanted to use Veer if we were short in batting but thought we had it covered. (On Akeal) More of a powerplay bowler but Sunil was batting. He bowled really well. (On CSK's catching) We dropped everything, just took one or two. Felt it was a bit humid. Lot of sweat coming into the hands. Not an excuse. We want to improve. As long as there is energy, intent and attitude behind every ball, we will be good. (On his form) Good to be on the winning side after a long time. Felt it was getting into my head even when batting. Feeling really good, just wanting to make sure to do what the team needs. Mentally, feeling positive. A big knock is just round the corner. Definitely I will do it when it is needed.

Ajinkya Rahane, KKR captain: I thought with the ball, we did very good. 190 on this wicket was very good. To pull it back for 190 (after the powerplay CSK had) was very good. 36-37 in the powerplay (from us) was very important (in the result). We needed one batter to bat through till the end (for us to have a good chance). Combination wise, the one we had, last game and this, was really good. It is tough, not winning matches. About having to keep our heads up, chins up. If the results are not going your way, you have to think about combinations, but it is about being positive and keeping your heads up. (On Tyagi) He is bowling really good. All credit to him. The pace he is bowling at is amazing. Game by game, he is improving his skills. Not easy for batters to hit big sixes. From both sides, spinners bowled really well. We have to keep our head up, be positive and have self-belief.

Akeal Hosein: (on the pitch and his plans) Finally good to see a good cricket wicket with something in it for everyone, and not just a belter. We just exploited whatever was on offer. There was something there, so about using natural variations. Most important thing was staying on the stumps and making them hit to balls that were slower or were skidding through. (On bowling with Noor) Very happy for Noor. last couple of games, he was struggling but happy for him to get some success and confidence behind him. (On the score) Cricket games, when you see teams score between 170-190, you know you will get a hell of a game. It was a day where you had to work for what you wanted, and not just turn up with eyes closed and magical things would happen.

11:31pm Another complete bowling display by CSK, and that will give them great belief, given how their campaign had begun. Khaleel and Kamboj kept things tight in the powerplay, before Akeal and Noor spun a yarn around the KKR batters. Overton was not as effective as the other day but Kamboj's death-overs execution was on point.

Plenty to dissect for KKR. They shook up their batting order by promoting Narine but it was a familiar tale of lacking intent. None of their batters got going and even though Powell and Ramandeep got a few boundaries away, those ended up being consolatory runs, rather than acting as a catalyst for a turnaround.

Kamboj to Powell, no run, this could be the final ball of the game, but we wait for confirmation because KKR have reviewed. Nothing doing on that count, and CSK make it back-to-back wins at Chepauk, and this is beginning to feel like a fortress all over again! Very full ball outside off. Powell swishes and misses and then, rather cheekily, tries to see if he can get a wide too. Ball well inside the tramlines, though, and that will be that for tonight. CSK with another clinical bowling display and after losing three on the trot, they have now won two on the spin!

Kamboj to Powell, SIX, full toss on the pads, and Powell gets another six away! Loose ball and Powell makes merry. Shoveled over the long leg fence!

Kamboj to Ramandeep Singh, OUT, sharp work by Sarfaraz, and Kamboj has another! Low full toss just outside off. Ramandeep shapes for the reverse-lap and gets good purchase on it too. Sarfaraz, though, is alert and springs down to his left at short third to hand Kamboj his second wicket!

Sukanth: "I think we were too harsh on CSK in the back half of their innings! " -- They could have not batted any of their last four overs and they would still have had enough...

Kamboj to Ramandeep Singh, FOUR, shot! Consolatory runs these but it is still a high-quality stroke. Opens his bat face to counter this wide yorker and scythes it behind point!

Kamboj from around the wicket again

Kamboj to Powell, 1 wide, starts off with a wide, and Samson does well to get something on it. Fullish down leg and Powell will also feel he missed out

Utsav: "Shall KKR still believe?" -- Never say never in this sport. But that thread is perilously thin at the moment. Kamboj to bowl the 18th. He will likely bowl the 20th too

Gurjapneet Singh to Ramandeep Singh, FOUR, slow, short and put away! A loosener, which is sort of expected from a bowler called in from the cold. Ramandeep jumps up onto his toes and slaps it over extra cover!

Khaleel pulls up in his run-up, holding the high part of his right thigh. He tries to run in again but has to abandon his stride. Surely he can just go off? With the overs CSK have remaining, he has that luxury to not aggravate it. And that is what is happening. Khaleel distraught as he walks off. He has given everything today but has just run out of steam. Gurjapneet to complete the over
