5.17pm And with that, Dean heads off to lift the series trophy with her victorious squad. It was a pretty one-sided in the final analysis, but for England, it was useful to see the mettle of the next tier of players, in the absence of some notable names. Dean herself had a fine time as captain, Bouchier and Dunkley impressed with the bat, Kemp and Gibson played some handy knocks at the back-end of the three innings. And the bowling attack was led impressively by Issy Wong in the second match in particular. Plenty to work on. For Ireland, as Lewis says, it's all a learning curve. From Miller, Alan and Sujeep, thanks for joining us, until next time!
5.08pm The player of summer, and the player of the match (and series) is Sophia Dunkley, after a career-best 119 today.
"It was great to get the series win, a little slow with the new ball, but Boosh got some boundaries away. We both like to be positive, when we get on top we keep going, and know each other inside-out. It's about staying present, nice to be back at the top of the order. Love opening, and want to have a bit impact, and big summer next year with the Ashes. Big goal of mine."
Gaby Lewis: "We've shown positives with bat and ball, but in different games, young spin attack bowled brilliantly. They are constantly learning, especially in series against top players. These series are so valuable. We're only going up. Emerging Nations Trophy will be great. Looking forward to a break, then all eyes on that tournament."
Charlie Dean: "The way the girls went about it on a tricky surface, then clinical with the ball. A good day. Dunks was phenomenal, we left a few runs out there but created our own energy in the field. It's brilliant, real maturity from Capsey, Kemp and Gibson in the middle order. Fil, Wong, R-Mac back in the side. As captain, every game I am growing. Credit to the girls for supporting and listening to what I say!"
5pm So, Ireland lost five for 10 in 21 deliveries, which is a pretty comprehensive collapse. Villiers and Filer , with three apiece, did the needful to dock the tail, but this win was sealed in the first half of England's batting innings, through a mighty century from Sophia Dunkley. They fell away a bit thereafter, but it was always plenty on the board.
That ends England Women's home summer. It's an upbeat ending, with some decent lessons learned. And there's a nice moment on the outfield as Arlene Kelly gets a guard of honour through both sets of players. She signed off with one last wicket to take her ODI haul to 45, alongside 91 T20I wickets. A big loss for Ireland as she heads back to her native New Zealand.
