9.3 Finally, a wicket - the breakthrough MI New York were desperately searching for! It was a pace off delivery around off and Smith charges down the track looking to clear the infield, but he only manages to loft the 107.6 kph ball toward the cover fielder at the edge of the circle. Shepherd bends down and leans forward to grab a good, low catch. 134/1

16.5 Mitchell Owen's innings finally comes to an end. What an entertaining knock that was! Bosch bowls a yorker length delivery that Owen turns into a low full toss, attempting to whack it through the line of the ball, hitting it straight back to Bosch. The bowler somehow manages to hold on after the ball ricochets off his hands and onto his stomach, cleanly pouching it in the end. Bosch seems unsure whether it was a bump ball or not, but Owen is already trudging back to the dugout. A massive round of applause rings out from both the crowd and his teammates, and even the MI New York players shake Owen's hand and pat him on the shoulder as he walks back. Chris Gayle's record stays intact, but nevertheless, take a bow, young man! 223/3
15.2 Ugarkar has just grabbed a serious contender for catch of the tournament, maybe even catch of the year! The young man can't believe it, standing there in utter shock. It was a widish yorker outside off and the batter bent down to open the face of the bat, slicing it off the outer half of the bat to chip it toward short third. Ugarkar leapt into the air with his right hand fully outstretched and somehow managed to intercept the ball, sticking it cleanly in his right palm. What a moment of sheer individual brilliance! 216/2
18.1 Maxwell's struggle with the bat continues! It's a full toss wide outside off that was there to be hit, but Maxwell extends his arms only to chip it straight to the mid-off fielder for a regulation catch. 232/4

19.1 Under-edges it to de Kock! Gous backs away too early and Boult bowls it wide outside off. Attempting to slash it through the covers, Gous only manages to kiss the bottom edge of the bat, gifting a simple catch to de Kock behind the stumps. 239/5

0.5 And Maxwell has the last laugh! It's a length ball turning back into the stumps and Monank tries to go big again. He hits with the turn but miscues it high into the air toward deep midwicket. Edwards moves around, settles himself underneath the night sky and gobbles it up. 6/1
0.6 It's all happening out there and Maxwell is celebrating! It was a back of a length ball on the stumps, punched off the back foot straight back to the bowler. Maxwell collects and blindly tosses the ball back through his legs while facing the batter, hitting the timber with a direct hit! QDK was already well out of his crease, caught stranded and he was not happy at all as he trudged back to the dugout. Early trouble for MI New York, losing both opening batters in the very first over! 6/2
2.3 Caught at short fine leg! Maxwell bowls a loose ball down the leg side and Pooran gets down on one knee to slog it away. He only manages to catch the inner half of the bat, drilling it straight to Jansen inside the circle at short fine leg. Jansen juggles the initial chance but holds on to it, and the MI New York skipper departs cheaply! 22/3
5.1 Massive misunderstanding between the batters, and Tajinder has to depart! It's a good length ball that extracts extra bounce off the pitch, striking Pollard on the thigh pad as he advances down the track. Both batters initially set off for a quick single, but Tajinder hesitates and refuses the run halfway down the pitch. By then, Pollard is already nearing the non-striker's end. Edwards rushes to his left, collects the ball, and runs to the striker's end to whip off the bails. It looks like Tajinder sacrificed his wicket for his partner there, as he didn't even bother to make his ground at the bowler's end. 45/4

7.4 Netravalkar strikes! Back of a length ball on leg stump, and he charges down the track to heave it away toward deep midwicket. He connects well enough but fails to find the required elevation to clear the rope, picking out Jansen right near the boundary. 64/5
14.2 Shepherd bites the dust! It's a slower leg-cutter and Shepherd tries to go downtown but commits to the shot way too early, miscuing it miles up into the air toward long on. Maxwell waits for what feels like an eternity underneath it before completing the catch with ease. 134/6
