Los Angeles Knight Riders held their nerve and got over the line, albeit with some hiccups. Seattle Orcas remain stuck in a rut, languishing at the bottom of the table. Handy contributions from Jason Roy and Unmukt Chand broke the back of the chase and a mini partnership between Nitish Kumar and Saif Badar kept them on course. Andre Russell eased the tension with a few hits towards the end as they won with five ball to spare. Orcas fell short by 15-20 runs and those run-outs of de Kock and Heinrich Klassen will haunt them in hindsight as they lacked a fiery finish with the bat. Ryan Rickelton was a treat to watch once again and is in red-hot form this season but he didn't get much support from his teammates and, as a result, they failed to post an imposing total. SO kept fighting till the end with the ball and managed to break partnerships as Harmeet Singh and Cameron Gannon picked up two wickets apiece and Keemo Paul kept it tight, returning 1/25. LAKR looked hungrier and resolute on bagging the two vital points and got the desired result in the end. A win is a win and this much-needed win brightens LAKR's prospects of staying in the top four with one more game to play The caravan will now move to Dallas for the business end of the tournament. Time for me to catch some Z's. See you later with more MLC action!
