Tottenham Hotspur earned their first win of 2026 with a 1-0 win away to Wolverhampton Wanderers, as Joao Palhinha's late goal ensured Roberto De Zerbi's side ended a run of 15 games without a win in the Premier League.
West Ham United also struck late in injury-time to defeat Everton by a 2-1 scoreline at home, thus ensuring Spurs remained in the relegation zone despite their victory.
However, it was quite the morale boost for Tottenham, who looked destined to play out a goalless draw against a resolute Wolves defence, until Palhinha turned in Richarlison's wayward shot at the near post in the 82nd minute. There was a slight dampener for Spurs however, as Xavi Simons and Dominic Solanke went off during the game with what appeared to be season-ending injuries.
