Pack hits 3 homers as Texas routs Holy Cross
Anthony Pack Jr. set a program postseason record with three home runs to power Texas to a 19-1 victory over Holy Cross in the opening game of the Austin Regional on Friday at UFCU Disch-Falk Field in Austin, Texas.
Pack, the SEC Freshman of the Year, went 3-for-3 with five RBIs and scored four runs. He launched a solo shot in the first inning, a two-run homer in the third and another two-run blast in the fifth, becoming the first Longhorn to hit three homers in an NCAA tournament game. Pack left in the sixth inning because of cramping.
